After six months of research and Saving

Sam has gotten his dream set of wheels with the help of a loan. He is grateful for his job at the Summerhays music store that made it possible. Plus his mom willing to negotiate things with him.

Sickness continues

Poor Matthew got sick with a sever headache tues night running a fever of 103. We took him in wed to see what he had. They cultured for strep negative. Then we went home by thursday pm he started breaking out with welts and then a red bumpy itchy rash from head to toe. Benedryl more fever meds, tubing him, etc. Yesterday we called the dr offc. again and the finally got the over night test results back and said he did have strep a plus 2. So more benedryl, more motrin, cold clothes , pushing water and penicillin. His face is puffy and it looks like someone sprinkled red sand all over him.

I had to get this for Sam

He does rock climbing regularly

It's a small world after all

Who should I meet in Beijing but Brother Brown from my former Lindon 18th ward. He was our Bishop then and later when he was released and called into the Stake presidency.
I dragged the kids onto my nostalgic boat ride for "it's a small world". They actually enjoyed it and I wanted to get pictures of the Asian aspect of it. However my camera phone battery died right about then.

Sam's Chinese name

Ke, Shang Ming

A nice touch of classic Disney

Notice all the dwarfs around the picture frame. Snow white was at the top.
"Mirror mirror on the wall"

Well staying at the disney hotel had it's pluses

So I noticed in the dining room and the lobby of our Hotel that Disney characters appeared on a regular basis. They often came strolling through.

Tarzan's house

It isn't the Swiss Family Robinson's home here.

I loved toy story land

Made me feel like a kid again. The toys were so life like and giant sized. It was a kick.

Ok this was way too fun not to share

The janitors cleaning up, apparently play a washboard band. However in this case as you can see it was a garbage can band. They were so good I wanted to videotape them and post it on my blog but I haven't figured out how to do video em bedding. yet.
The other janitors sweeping up in the adventure land actually use their straw brooms to paint disney characters on the sidewalk. I forgot to get the pictures but Stephen did so I will have him upload the pictures. They were really good!

Something you won't find in the disney land's here

Your own personal chopsticks with minnie, mickey, princesses, stitch or Winnie the pooh!

Ok ok I admit it. I am still a softie for the characters

I got my photograph posted with Pluto. My friend wrote back saying an ongoing relationship with him might be a problem because of the ears. LOL isn't listening always an issue when it comes to relationships?

Hong Kong Disney

A lot of fun. It is a smaller scale and based on more current movies from like pixar. Like toy story Woody, Jessie and buzz light year. Pretty wild. It is easier to walk around. The weather is nice and the live shows are fabulous! There are not as many rides but a lot of the traditional ones and some newer ones are there.
The best part was lines for rides are much shorter. Longest we waited was an average of 15-20 min. Most cases it was 5 -10 min or we walked on.
Personally I like the Asian touch as you will see from some of these pictures. Like Chinese lanterns, food sites, and Chinese attired Disney characters in some cases.

I was hearing music

I enjoyed hearing "Music Man" music piped through the certain areas of the Park. Lo and behold and I heard a band playing and lo there they were.

A little nostalgia

I had to go ride the merry go round or the Princess carousel. I couldn't get the kids to go with me. However that also meant I had to ride my favorite ride as a kid, Dumbo the flying Elephant. My brothers used to affectionately? Call me "Dumbo" because my ears stuck out a lot when I was younger. The reason why, was because I had very long, thick hair, which when tucked behind my ears, made them bend forward.

A sweet message

I am grateful to be in a position to help, when I heard the speech from one little boy in the orphanage.

"Dear uncles and aunts, older brothers and older sisters,

Good afternoon. On the arrival of the Spring Festival, extend you all my best wishes for your perfect health and everything goes well, wish you happy New Year! Today, I thank especially to the uncle and aunts from Holt, thanks for your support on our Flying Dreams art group.

Because of your support, we have the opportunity to do performance and show you our world. Because of your support, we can feel the warmth from family.

I am one of the normal child in Children Welfare Institute, just like others brothers and sisters, I grew up without parents' love. For this reason, many people will think that we lack of happiness and love. In the matter of fact, love is always all around us. It's you who can make us feel the warmth of love all the time. It's you who bring the hope into our world. It's you who make our world more colorful. Thanks to the uncle and aunts, thanks again for your support, we will be with a grateful heart for each day, study hard, return the society when grows up, and live up to the expectations of you. Lastly, wishes you happy New Year again!

Thank you."
